In flashbacks, a family joins a space cult that promises salvation on Jupiter. The past illuminates their struggles, and their teenage daughter must choose whether to follow her parents into the cult or forge her own path on Earth. Jupiter Remake (2019). "Jupiter" is a well-made film that manages to draw us into the inner world of a teenage girl who faces not only the challenges of insecurity, but also the trials of her disabled younger brother and her parents' descent into madness. It is a dizzying landscape and space that borders on science fiction, even psychological horror. During the discussion after the film, it occurred to me that the first comment was empathy for the parents. I had to face the fact that in the madness and horror of the world, children are tragically and inexplicably neglected. I even noticed that many adults are not helped. The director insisted that they must be reintegrated into a «good democratic society» and even forget about their terrible deeds (having good intentions). Despite this, his film acts as a dissection of the vulnerability of adults in dire straits, but also an ode to the vulnerability of children. P. S.
